Ceiling and visibility unlimited. This private equity impact investment firm specializes in early-stage seed funding for startups dedicated to physical, social and digital accessibility. Waytuit,
one of CAVU's holdings, makes multimodal wearable wayfinding tools to help people with visual, sensory and cognitive impairments navigate built environments more fluidly.
As Content and Communications Lead, I developed multimedia stories and campaigns promoting digital inclusion, highlighting not only the social responsibility, but also the smart business sense of making our world more accessible. The Future is Accessible campaign created a digital access movement: from the Age of Information to the Age of Awareness and how cause-driven commerce helps transform consumers into conscious, caring citizens.
Our story series engaged audiences in topics ranging from augmented realities and enchanted objects to more socially-connective assitive technologies and life with disabiility in America. All this was building momentum up to the 25th Anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Google, Facebook and other tech giants soon after announced their commitment to making the internet and their web platforms more accessible for all.
